October 22, 2009 - Shira-Lee directs 2 new WGA Screenplay Reading Series at 76th and Amsterdam  - 7.30pm  

October 10, 2009 -  "OPEN AIR" directed by Shira-Lee Shalit screens at the New Orleans Film Festival. 

September 3,4,5 - "OPEN AIR" screens 3 days at the Montreal World Film Festival, Canada. 

August  7, 2009 - "OPEN AIR" screens at the Rhode Island International Film Festival.

June 23, 2009 - "OPEN AIR" wins *Best Short Film* at the New Jersey International Film Festival! 

June 22, 2009 - Shira-Lee directs Dick Cavett in "Dick Cavett Ruined My Life" and "One of the Guys" -2 original screenplays for the WGAE screenplay reading series in NYC, moderated by Michael Winship- head of The Writers Guild East.

May 22, 2009 - Shira-Lee is selected as one of SHOOT's **Up and Coming New Directors** -for the 7th annual showcase and screening at the DGA in NYC May 28th 2009, and featured in SHOOT magazine! 

May 4th, 2009 - Shira-Lee directs the wonderful actresses: Lynn Cohen and Elizabeth Canavan in Linda Ford Blaikie's new play - "Crazy, Beauty, Truth" at 7pm at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, NYC.

April 2009  - "OPEN AIR"  is nominated for Best American Short Film at the Swansea International Film Festival -UK,  and wins an Award of Excellence at the Accolade Film Awards.

March, April, May 2009 - "OPEN AIR", directed by Shira-Lee Shalit,  starring Lynn Cohen (Golda Meir in MUNICH, SEX and the CITY)  is selected for over 20 film festivals - including Sedona International Film Festival, Cleveland International Film Festival, Burbank International Film Festival, Rhode Island Film festival, a Finalist in the USA Film Festival, and the Palm Beach International Film Festival.
